Description
We are excited to welcome you to NCMC during our O.A.R. (Orientation, Advising, Registration) sessions!
As a new student at NCMC, you are bound to have questions. O.A.R. (Orientation, Advising, and Registration) is an opportunity for you to learn how to navigate campus and all of our student resources. By the time you leave O.A.R., you’ll be on your way to success at NCMC!
During O.A.R., you will learn about:
- Your degree and major
- Financial aid and scholarships
- Campus housing and dining plans
- Tutoring services
- Clubs and organizations
- Navigating your student portal
- And many other campus resources!
Every new NCMC student is required to attend an O.A.R. session. An optional campus tour will begin at 11am in Alexander Hall. Check-in at 11:30am in Cross Hall for your O.A.R. session. View the Main Campus map for directions. We are excited to have you as part of our Pirate crew!

Our Academic Advisors facilitate the OAR session and are available to answer questions and help with schedule changes at the end of each session. Not all faculty/staff advisors are available to attend all sessions due to scheduling conflicts.
